The Edge of Maine Frame & Gallery is located on Main Street in a Second Empire building with a tall mansard roof modeled after the architecture of Paris during the reign of Napoleon III.

Since 1885 it has been used to serve the community in various ventures from a pants factory at the turn of the last century to a feed store to a bakery, a cafe and now as a part of the larger and ever expanding creative community.
